Stress is a factor in 80 to 90 percent of illnesses and injuries, so relieving stress alone can reduce or eliminate many problems. Pain or discomfort is the body's way of saying something isn't right. We ignore it at our own risk.
I offer gentle, non-invasive techniques that can relieve stress and, in many cases, reduce or eliminate pain. Clients remain fully clothed, and many find the bodywork sessions so relaxing they fall asleep.
Sometimes the problem is not where the pain is. Pain in the jaw may be from an old whiplash injury; sciatica may be from a blow to the head; back pain may be from a sprained knee. I use my skills and intuition to find the primary areas of restriction, then help the body release those blockages.
I also teach t'ai chi and qigong classes to help people learn to connect with their bodies, have fun and improve or maintain their health.
