Health isn't just a lack of illness. Health is the optimum functioning of the body, mind, and spirit to permit us to fulfill our dreams and goals.
To help the body return to its best state, gently, I use techniques such as:
• Emotional Freedom Techniques/EFT
• CranioSacral Therapy
• SomatoEmotional Release
• Zero Balancing
• Qi Therapy/Qigong
Stress is a factor in 80 to 90 percent of illnesses and injuries, so relieving stress alone can reduce or eliminate many problems. Pain or discomfort is the body's way of saying something isn't right. We ignore it at our own risk.
I offer gentle, non-invasive techniques that can relieve stress and, in many cases, reduce or eliminate pain. Clients remain fully clothed, and many become very relaxed while they learn about reconnecting with their bodies to improve the health and functioning of their bodies and minds.
Sometimes the problem is not where the pain is. Pain in the jaw may be from an old whiplash injury; sciatica may be from a blow to the head; back pain may be from a sprained knee. I use my skills and intuition to find the primary areas of restriction, then help the body release those blockages. I then show clients techniques they can use at home to help the body continue on its path to health.
I have a practice in Coupeville, Washington, on Whidbey Island, easily accessible from all parts of the island.
I am the co-founder and current president of the Whidbey Island Holistic Health Association, an organization dedicated to improving health on Whidbey. Our website, http://www.WIHHA.com, has more information about our members and our upcoming events.
I also teach t'ai chi and qigong classes in Freeland and Coupeville, WA, to help people learn to connect with their bodies, have fun, and improve or maintain their health.
I am certified by the Upledger Institute/IAHE in CranioSacral therapy and by Gary Craig & EFT Universe in EFT.
